All local and county pages on this site are "LiveAlert" activated. If yourcommunity/county is participating in the EMCOM program, they can broadcast
directly to you, LIVE, while you are on this page to give you critical
emergency information. (You must have an operating sound card and
speakers on your system.) The page will activate your MP3 player (i.e. Windows Media Player, RealPlayer, WinAmp, etc.) to hear their broadcast when applicable.

Community based Emergency Preparedness, Notification and Communication Including the World's most technologically advanced and effective National Emergency Alert System
Welcome to the EMCOM (International Emergency Preparedness, Notification and
Communications Organization) Community Emergency Preparedness &
Alert Notification website. This site comprises web pages for virtuall
every county and municipality in the United States.

- Participating emergency management personnel from cities, towns, counties
and states can quickly post information and bulletins pertinent to their area
directly onto their applicable pages, with alerts also being sent to public and
private agencies and organizations via All-Hazard WeatherAlert 2000 class
radios, and to their citizens via email, cell phone, pagers, and personal
contact via telephone or personal visit by our neighborhood based coordinators.
- Each of the state, county and municipality pages is PubAlert activated,
such that any emergency or disaster notifications in effect for the region will
immediately "pop up" on user's computers when the pages are accessed. This
includes ALL notifications from the EMCOM National Emergency Alert Notifiation
System, such as weather from the National Weather Service, breaking news from
major media outlets, alerts from the FBI, the CDC and state and local authorities as applicable.
These are the same alerts as are received through
the other EMCOM notification
channels, including satellite based weather alert radios, email, cell phones,
pagers, telephones and personal notifications.
- Each of the county and municipality web sites is LiveAlert
activated, such that participating emergency agencies and organizations can
broadcast LIVE directly through the web page. If your computer system is
equipped with a sound card and speakers, you will hear any broadcast by a
participating agency in the applicable area simply by having the web page
displayed on your computer.
